Indirect Heaters

How Indirect Heaters Work The difference between Indirect Heaters and Direct Heaters is their methods of burning the fuel.

Direct Heaters burn the fuel inside the air flow and push the hot air together with the combustion byproducts into the space you are heating.

Indirect Heaters, however, produce much cleaner heat. A compressor acts as their fuel pump and sprays a mixture of air and fuel (diesel or paraffin) into a combustion chamber that vents out a chimney on top of the unit. It generates heated clean air by using a large fan to move large amounts of air over the surface of the heated combustion chamber. 100% of the byproducts are exhausted through the top of the unit and only the clean heated air is pushed out the front.

If you want a large amount of clean, safe, breathable air from a portable heater, then indirect heaters are the best and the only cost effective option.
